A stroller for the stars
Filed under: Gear, Lifestyle, Infant / First year, Joggers/Strollers/TrailersOh, the strollers we’ve owned! There was our first — big and bulky, with lots of padding all over. There were the $10 umbrella strollers — light and small and cheap, picked up in an emergency. I can’t forget the big umbrella stroller — tall enough for me, with big wheels, but still small and compact — we went through two of those because someone folded the first one without undoing the locking mechanism. And, of course, the jogger and the double jogger and the sit-and-stand and so on. Our garage is a veritable stroller graveyard. But all of these seem rather pedestrian compared to the Kensington Pram our friends over at Luxist came across. It’s exactly the sort of thing you’d expect to see Diana Rigg or Michael Caine pushing down a British lane. I’m not sure you could pop this into the boot of your Rolls and expect to have much room for nappies, but it is the perfect stroller exactly what you want to take to the park if you want to be noticed. These prams are hand built and, of course, adhere to the strictest of safety standards. And for $3,295, they’d better be pretty darn comfy too. Although we’ll likely end up getting another stroller or two when our next one arrives, I’m not sure the Kensington is in our price range.Read | Permalink | Email this | Linking Blogs | Comments
