The global apparel industry is valued at roughly $ 390 billion. The number of garments purchased by American consumers has increased 73% between 1996 and 2001, while apparel prices have fallen 10% over the past decade. “Always Low Prices” comes largely at the expense of poor, uneducated garment workers in developing countries who have been trapped in a system of servitude and sweatshop conditions. Boycotts, picketing, letter writing campaigns, and a barrage of unfavorable publicity in the late 1990’s and early 2000’s forced many large name clothing chains to adopt “Corporate Social Responsibility” policies requiring their clothing manufacturers and suppliers to provide fair wages and safe working conditions to their employees.
The first in the “Ethical Shopping, Ethical Clothing” series explores issues of sweatshop conditions and how many manufacturing corporations and countries use a variety of laws and legalistic definitions of “employees” to hide the true extent of a vast underpaid labor force that lies below the radar of government regulations and “Corporate Social Responsibility” policies.
The second in the series examines ethical shopping and the rise, benefits and limitations of Fair Trade policies and organizations, while the third in the series examines ethical clothing, the concerns of animal rights organizations for the ethical treatment of animals, and the growing movement of eco-friendly and animal-friendly designers such as Stella McCartney and Hemandt Trevedi.
The intent of the three-part series “Ethical Shopping, Ethical Clothing” is to give clothing shoppers the information that they need to make informed decisions about the ethics of garment manufactures and clothing companies.

One should always make it a point to buy one size bigger dress than what the baby’s normal size would be. This way the new mother can make her baby wear the favorite dress of her choice for two consecutive seasons. While choosing a baby apparel one should primarily stick to cotton material clothes. One should buy one size bigger dress for the baby even when the garment says “Pre-shrunk”. Normally babies grow so fast and don’t get to wear any one dress for two consecutive seasons.

As far as the material of the infact’s dress is concerned, cotton is the best. One should always keep in mind of buying comfortable clothes for an infant which can give enough room to your baby’s skin to breathe comfortably. The best thing about cotton is that it is easily washable and someone can always put stain removers on cotton without damaging the fabric. Almost all retail stores have a good collection of inexpensive cotton items. Again most of the baby stores keep soft and cuddly clothes for your baby. Among the diferent types of baby dresses, rompers are really cool baby clothing which are uni gender dresses that can be worn by both baby girl and baby boy. Babies after wearing rompers can stay comfortable and playful throughout the day.

There are some T shirts for baby boys available at the stores that has some cute things written on it that makes the babies look even more cute. Some stores keep T shirts for kids with names of super heros and their dary deeds imprinted on it. Indian baby girls can be pampered with a wide variety of dress types ranging from frocks to lehngas and salwar suites. Again some stores keep miniature versions of saris for tiny baby girls. The best dress for a newborn baby is a one piece underwear which is also known as onesies. These are the best outfits for baby within one year of age.
Buying dresses for the little angel is extremely confusing as there are so many options to choose from. One should visit the right store which will ensure a great collection of fashionable as well as comfortable clothres for the little ones
